Who can see our photos?
Only the people in your family. There are no public profiles, no links out and no search engine that can reach it. You get in only through an invitation by mail, which an admin sends and can take back.
Can grandma manage this?
That's what it was made for. There are no passwords: she types in her mail address, gets a mail with a button, and clicks it. That's all. The text is big enough and she can't accidentally make anything public, because there is no public.
And if I don't carry on after three months?
Nothing happens unless you say so. There's no card on file and nothing gets charged automatically. Your family stays where it is and stays readable; you just can't add anything new after that.
Why does this cost money when other places don't?
Because keeping photos genuinely costs money. Anyone not paying for it pays with something else: with ads, with data, or with a service that's gone in three years. We'd rather just charge a subscription.
Will ads arrive later anyway?
No. That's why there's a subscription. A product paid for by the people using it has nothing it needs to sell to anyone else.
Do you use AI?
Not in the product. There is no model reading your posts or analysing your photos, and nothing is trained on anything. We do use AI tools ourselves to build and test Familiepagina — they make the software, they do not run inside the product. Our mail goes out through Resend; the privacy statement names who they engage for that.
How many families can I have?
As many as you like. Plenty of people are in their parents' family and their in-laws' family too. You switch at the top, and your role can differ per family.

You're about to trust somebody with your family photos. You should know who that is.
Familiepagina is made by a small Dutch team. No investors demanding growth, no business model that only works once advertising shows up. We build it because we wanted it ourselves, for our own families, with our own parents in it.
Where your things live
Our servers are in the European Union. Not with an American cloud service, not scattered around the world, and under the same privacy law that applies here. The only outside party is the service that sends our mail, and it only gets what's needed to deliver a sign-in mail or an invitation to you.
The team
Our names, our photos and a few lines about ourselves go here. This is the most important spot on the site and it deserves real faces, not filler.
